How Hangable handles your data, briefly, and in plain language.

What we collect

To fulfil an order we process your name, contact details, shipping address and payment status. We do not store card numbers, payment is handled by our payment provider. To make a design we use the photo you upload; we keep it for two weeks afterwards so we can check the quality of our designs, then delete it automatically. Want it gone sooner? Email us.

Why

To make and deliver your order, answer your messages, and, only if you opt in, send occasional studio updates. You can unsubscribe at any time. If you don't complete an order, we send one reminder with your design to the email address you gave. After that, we send nothing more about it. If you leave your email address in the studio to save a design, we email you that design and at most one reminder. The button in that email creates an account and saves the design in it. If you leave the box for news and offers ticked, we then send you promotional email too, after you confirm in a separate email. If you untick it, or do not confirm, you get no promotional email. You can always unsubscribe with the link in the email.

Sharing

We share only what is needed with our print partner, shipping carrier and payment provider. If you leave the box for news and offers ticked, our email provider Klaviyo (United States) receives your email address and what you saved and ordered in the studio, to send that email. If you enter a Dutch postcode, we look up the street and town with the public postcode service of the Dutch Land Registry (PDOK); only the postcode is sent. We never sell your data.

Cookies and measurement

Without your consent we ourselves only count anonymously how the site is used: no cookies, no IP address and nothing that can be traced back to you. In addition, Google Ads loads in a limited mode (Google’s consent mode): without cookies or advertising IDs, it only sends Google a bare signal when someone arrived through an ad or completed an order. As with any request over the internet, Google receives technical data such as your IP address and browser, and according to Google uses these signals only to estimate the number of orders from ads. Only if you accept cookies do we fully load three services: the Meta pixel and Google Ads, to see which ads work, and Microsoft Clarity, which anonymously records how the site is used (clicks and scrolling) so we can improve it. Your photos and artworks are masked in Clarity. You can change your choice at any time via the cookie settings at the bottom of the page.

Your rights

You may ask to see, correct or delete your data at any time. Write to the studio and a person will handle it.
