What is Hangable? +
We turn your favourite photo into a real artwork for your wall. You upload a photo, pick one of 30 styles, from impressionism to charcoal, and see your artwork within a minute.
How does it work? +
Upload a photo in the studio, say what is in it (a person, a pet, a group or a place) and pick a style. Within a minute you see your artwork. Then choose size and finish and order. Only then is it printed.
Which photo works best? +
A sharp photo where the face, or your pet, is clearly visible: straight on and in good light. A phone photo is fine. For a landscape, pick a place you love, ideally taken upright. For a group portrait, add a photo per person if not everyone is in one photo.
Will it really look like me? +
Yes, that comes first: your own photo decides the composition and the face, the style only decides how it is painted or drawn. You see the result first and only order if you like it. If not, try again or pick another style.
Which styles can I choose? +
30 styles in four groups: painting (such as impressionism, watercolour and expressionism), drawing (charcoal, pencil, pen and ink), printmaking (linocut, Japanese woodblock, etching) and modern illustration. You can also make it warmer or cooler, lighter or darker.
What does it cost? +
Canvas from €69 (20×30 cm) and framed canvas from €89. Order more pieces and every additional piece is 30% off.
Which sizes and materials are there? +
We make canvas and posters. Canvas is stretched by hand over a wooden frame: from 20×20 to 70×100 cm, also square. Or canvas in a frame in black or natural, from 20×30 to 60×90 cm. Posters are printed on 230 gsm matt premium paper, in 35×50, 50×70, 70×100 and 100×140 cm. Sizes & framing helps you choose.
What does shipping cost and how long does it take? +
Shipping is free from €69, otherwise €4.95. Every piece is printed in one to three working days and then takes two to four working days to the Netherlands and Belgium, three to five to Germany and France and five to eight to the rest of Europe.
Can I return it? +
Because every piece is made for you, it falls outside the fourteen-day right of withdrawal. That is why you see it before you order. If the print differs from what you approved, or arrives damaged, send a photo within 48 hours and we print and ship it again for free. See shipping & returns.
What happens to my photo? +
We use your photo to make your piece and then keep it for two weeks, so we can check the quality. After that we delete it automatically. Your photo is not sold, not shared and not used to train anyone else's software. More on how we work.
Can I give it as a gift? +
Yes. Make the piece with a photo of the person it is for, or give a gift card: it arrives by email the same day, works for every piece and size and stays valid for two years. See gift cards.
